Britannia Brewing Company

Britannia Brewing Company set up shop in Steveston, BC in 2016 and by early 2017 their tied house restaurant is in full swing.  The brewery serves up four or more of their delicious beers alongside a diverse and tasty food menu making this a worthy stop on any journey to the riverside community.

The pub and restaurant space across from Fisherman’s Wharf in Steveston makes the Britannia Brewing Company ideally situated to cater to tourists and locals alike.  A bright, cozy, and welcoming space greets all who enter.  Whether you choose a seat at the bar, next to one of the many windows, or at the communal table, you’re sure to find a nice bright spot.

The brewery itself is located a short distance away in neighbouring Richmond, BC, around the corner from Fuggles & Warlock Craftworks.  While the brewery is not yet open for tastings or growler fills, this feature should be coming along shortly if all goes according to plan.  Britannia Brewing Company also intends to create a small on-site brewery next to the restaurant in the future to offer a tasting lounge and growler fills to patrons who visit them at the Steveston location.

With the addition of Britannia Brewing Company to the growing number of breweries south of Vancouver, there are now plenty more reasons to venture south to find another distinct pocket in our city’s ever-growing craft beer tapestry.
