Powell Street Brewery

Powell Brewery recently changed their name from Powell Street Brewery following a year in their new space.  The brewery was originally located down the street in the small space currently occupied by Doan’s Craft Brewing Company.

Powell Brewery offers patrons a comfortable tasting room with a great view of their brewing facilities.  Although they’ve moved away from their nano system to a larger brew house, their focus is still on small batches of high-quality beer.  The increased brewing capacity has meant they now bottle their brew in 650mL ‘bomber’ bottles as well as 500mL cans.

Since the move, Powell Brewery now makes many more styles of beer than they did in their original location, even occasionally producing one-off casks for patrons at the weekends to go with that day’s food truck.

Their seasonal offerings are growing along with the brewery.  Their sour series is well-known in the community and very popular when released.  The brewery also produces a saison series as well as working on collaborations with other breweries, such as the sour collaboration with Fuggles & Warlock Craftworks in Richmond.
