Moody Ales

Moody Ales Tulip Glass at Brewery

Moody Ales was the second brewery to open in Port Moody and so far they’ve created quite a following among locals and Vancouverites alike.  With the completion of the Evergreen Line Skytrain, Brewers Row as the brewery district in Port Moody is affectionately called, is far more accessible for anyone travelling there from Vancouver or the surrounding communities.

Moody Ales offers plenty of options at the brewery including crowd favourites such as their Affable IPA, their Hardy Brown Ale, and their Smoldering Smoked Porter, among other one-offs and special-release batches.  In addition to the numerous taps on offer, the tasting room offers off sales in bottles and their Crowlers – a 946mL can of craft beer.

Keep your eyes open for their Forgotten Beers series where they attempt to resurrect old recipes and brew traditional styles that have often disappeared where they originated.  You’ll find the staff friendly and their selection of local snacks tasty, and ready to pair with your beer.  On a nice day, there’s a great patio space out the front as well.
