I’ll employ less automation in my cleaning schedule. Windell Oskay via Flickr

It’s hard for me to believe, but I’ve been running Craft Beer Vancouver (CBV) now for just over four months. Since it’s also Spring Cleaning time, I figured I’d take the time to do some work on the website as well.

Until now I’ve not updated the CBV website beyond simply adding a brewery or two along the way and blogging regularly. With my first four months behind me though, I’m looking to see what works and what doesn’t.

So I’m asking for some feedback from those of you that have used the website in the past, whether you visit frequently, or only occasionally. As a user, do you notice anything that could be fixed? Do you have any suggestions for the website?

My plans for the next month of ‘Spring Cleaning’ include:

  • Auditing existing brewery entries to ensure up-to-date descriptions and information
  • Adding breweries as far east as Port Moody and Surrey to the brewery map
  • Updating the home page to make it easier to use

I feel like I jumped into this without knowing too much what I’m doing, and I still can’t claim to know. But while I figure that out I’d like to make it easy for anyone who visits CBV to find what they’re looking for and to have a good experience along the way.

Thank you for indulging me in my efforts to improve CBV. If you feel inclined to leave some comments or suggestions, please do so in the comments below, or send me an email.

Cheers.
